 BJ Haffly has over 20 years in the machine tool and millwright-mechanical industry. His experience comes from working on some of the largest machine tool installations for the nations leading machine tool manufacturers. His career in the millwright-mechanical field has gained him thorough knowledge and hands-on experience with a significant number of machine tool equipment on the market today.
Cincinnati, Ingersoll, Giddings and Lewis, K & T, Hitachi, Zeiss, Mori Seiki, Haas, Fadal, San Rocco, Heidelberg, and Bullards are just a few of the manufacturers. Machine types range from highly technical 5-axis milling machines to simple presses and lathes.
Management positions with two of the largest Rigging and Millwright operations in Dallas/Fort Worth have provided him the background necessary to successfully execute bid and proposal efforts as well as the day to day operational duties associated with schedule, budget, personnel and equipment issues.
His experience includes foundation inspections, layout of machines and components, floor grade inspections, set up and layouts of machine pads, levelers or fixators, and proper installation of machine bases and components, leveling and alignment of machines according to factory specifications.
BJ is certified in the use of Hamar laser equipment to ensure level, straightness, flatness, parallelism, and perpendicularity of geometries of machines. He has had advanced training on laser alignment of extruder barrels, injection molding platens, and laser alignment of motor couplings.BJ is certified on Renishaw lasers to perform linear axis calibration, position accuracy, and rotary axis calibrations.
BJ was one of the forerunners in the laser alignment industry in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, making it an industry standard installation procedure for two of the top Millwright and Rigging companies in the early 1990's.
Mr. Haffly's experience is vast and well rounded and he is a great mentor and leader to those in his employ.
