NC FILE EDITOR, 3D VIEWER, BACK-PLOTTER, DNC/MIU and VERIFICATION UtilityView/Edit/Plot/Download your .NC, .CNC, .TAP, .DAT, .274, and most NC Part ProgramsVersion 4.79 (Updated 3/20/07)So What's New with this release? (Download the full brochure 1.2 Mb file) Our inital benchmarks intesting this release are showing a 30%-200% increase in performance on the existing equipment. The addition of DATA-Optimization. DATA-Optimization is targeted for FADAL, HAAS, and Fanuc controls. DATA View - A Windows-based backplotter and NC code editor allows you to view your CNC/Machine Tool Path in text and/or graphically before you cut!
- Are your machine operators editing program after program?
- Are you spending more time editing programs than cutting parts?
Now with DATA View you can graphically view your CNC machine tool path before you cut your part! DATA View is a low-cost 3 axes part program tool path viewer that runs on a PC and is easy to use. DATA View shows the exact path the tool will follow. DATA-View executes all motion as well as Canned Cycles, M Codes, G Codes, Spindle Speeds, Tool Codes, and feedrates! You can also edit your cnc/machine code data:
- Add Record Numbers
- Cut and Paste data
- Run Backwards
- Mirror Motion Data
- Interchange Motion Data
- And Much More!
VEGA DATA View Now Supports SolidsDATA View can read your ASCII and Binary STL files. Give your operators the edge. Display your cutter path on TOP of your solid model! |

VEGA 2779500 for Resolver Applications
- Works with R25 and other resolvers
- Emulates standard incremental optical encoder signals
- Makes a resolver as easy to use as an encoder
- 1000 line count A-quad-B with Index and complements
With the VEGA 2779500 converter you can have both the ruggedness of a
resolver and the digital simplicity of the digital interface. The
2779500 may be used with any resolver that has electrical
specifications similar to the Harowe 1B electrical kit or 11BRW300-B10
resolver. Greater effective line counts may be obtained by using a
multi-speed resolver: 2x = 2000; 3x = 3000; 4x = 4000; 5x = 5000. The
INDEX pulse (Channel Z) will occur once per transducer cycle at the
zero degree position.

Maverick Systems Corporation is proud to have Vega CNC in our Teaming
Network. We highly recommend a new Vega Control for your next upgrade
and can attest to the outstanding quality, design and features that you
will get in comparison to other models.
A major asset, Vega CNC designs engineers and manufactures their
controls in the United States. This takes downtime issues and concerns
out of the equation for parts and service. We have been associated with
Vega since 1995 and have had them flawlessly retrofit several machines
with new controls for our customers during relocations. Vega CNC has an
impressive list of firsts:
The Vega CNC was one of the industry's first true Computer Numerical
Controls in the 1970's, and has been a technology leader ever since.
The Vega CNC has had many innovations, including these industry firsts:
- First Digitizing on the CNC
- First integrated CRTs with menu driven interface
- First floppy disk integrated in the CNC
- First BCL (RS-494) CNC
- First Batch mode DNC
- First integrated auto-booting hard disk
- ONLY CNC to be continually produced
For more information on VEGA, retrofits and how it can improve your machine's performance see the FAQ on CNC Retrofits.

Generic Vs. Custom NC Post Processors |
|
|
|
Generic NC Post Processors usually come with CAD/CAM systems. The problems inherent with these systems are:
Scrapped Parts
Unfortunately, these NC Post Processors are of a generic form and do
not take into account the differences between different makes and
models of CNC controls. Generic NC Post processors will output the same
M&G codes, machine feeds and speeds.
Non-Portable NC Code
Even the same CNC control make and model could have been installed with
different M and G code processing, making it impossible to move part
programs between controls without manually editing the program or
risking scrapping parts.
Manually Editing Of NC Code
Even when the CNC controls are configured to accept the same data,
spindle speeds and machine feedrates can vary from machine to machine,
which means the part program must be manually edited.
Customized post processors eliminate these issues by sending the correct codes to the correct control.
They also eliminate the end of manually editing M/G
codes, feeds and speeds because the post processor is configured to
output the correct data for the selected machine tool/control
combination.

The Case for Shop Floor NC Post Processing |
|
|
The Cad/Cam Department Post Processes the Tool Path
The Problems:
Scheduling
Having cad/cam programmers post process the tool path in the cad room
means that the programmer must determine ahead of time which machine
the part will be cut on.
Wrong Machine
If the programmer posted the tool path for a machine that is
overbooked, broken or for any reason no longer available to cut the
desired part, the shop floor must wait for the Cad/Cam department to
re-post the tool path.
Wrong Data
If the nc data needs to be scaled, mirrored, interchanged, or have the
speeds and feeds modified, the shop floor must again wait for the
Cad/Cam department to re-post the tool path.
Different Shifts
If the shop floor works 2 or 3 shifts but the cad/cam department only
works 1 shift, the shop floor can come to a stop waiting for a tool
path to be posted for a particular machine.
The Solution:
By moving the NC Post Processing function to the shop floor, the
machine operator has the ability to post process the tool path for the
desired machine when which machine has been selected. This allows for
more flexibility in scheduling. It also eliminates waiting for the
cad/cam department to re-post a tool path if the feeds, speeds, or
machine is incorrect. This can be particularly important if the shop
floor works 2 or 3 shifts but the cad/cam department only works 1
shift. Also, most post processors have the ability to mirror, scale or
interchange data, so if the tool path setup needs to be changed, the
operator can easily accomplish this. Shop floor post processing can be
easily accomplished by having a PC and DNC system on the shop floor.
New CAD/CAM systems provide faster and easier programming. However, if
you don't have a good post processor which outputs the correct data,
the goals of faster and easier programming are easily lost because
programmers and operators are spending their time modifying programs
instead of making parts.
